Known as a passionate advocate for sustainable energy and green practices, Mr. Khew is currently the CEO/Managing Director of IUT Global Pte Ltd, a global environmental waste technology and management company with its headquarters in Singapore. Through its subsidiary, IUT Singapore Pte Ltd, IUT Global has constructed Asia’s first major organic waste bio-methanisation and renewable energy plant. It is sited in Singapore and based on a patent jointly held by Mr. Khew and his Austrian partner, Ing. Reinhard Goeschl.
Also a former Nominated Member of Parliament, Mr Khew actively serves the wider business community. He is currently the Chairman of the Sustainable Energy Association of Singapore (SEAS), Honorary President of the Singapore Manufacturers’ Federation (SMa), Council Member of the Singapore Business Federation (SBF) and Chairman of the Singapore Standards Council.
Mr Khew has an Executive MBA from the National University of Singapore and a Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Queensland, Australia. He is also a Fellow of the Institute of Engineers, Singapore, a Fellow of the Institute of Chemical Engineers (UK), and a professional engineer of the Professional Engineers Board, Singapore.

About the Distinguished Business Leaders Series
Conceived as a high-profile initiative by the Overseas Singaporean Unit, the DBL Series seeks to create a platform for interaction between Singapore-based companies and the Overseas Singaporean community. This is to enable Overseas Singaporeans to stay abreast of developments in the various sectors of the Singapore economy and that of the wider Asian region. The DBL Series would be of particular interest to Overseas Singaporeans wishing to find out more about job and business opportunities in Singapore and the Asian region.
The inaugural DBL event was launched in August 2006 in Sydney, Australia. The DBL series has subsequently been brought to and received strong support from the Overseas Singaporean communities in London, New York, San Francisco, Shanghai, Beijing, Perth, Sydney and Melbourne.
