Considering a job in Tianjin. What would be the estimated monthly expenses including housing, utlities, food, school for 2 kids (4.5 and 1.5) and maybe domestic help?

Hi There, if you are in Tianjin maybe you can consider looking the website below as they have rooms for rent and also houses for sale. Not sure what kind of house you are looking for and also if you are settling down here for good with the family or just temporarily here. If temporaral then take time to look for house near to your office so safe on time getting to work and also it might be cheaper. Housing and utilities are not that expensive depends on how you use the water or electricity. As for domestic help depends on if you want someone that come each day to your place to report to take care of the kids or someone that stays in the house. If she stay at your house then you will need to pay more and also get a bigger house to let her stay in, if not you can contact local domestic help agencies in Tianjin who are able to get you someone who can cook and take care of the kids. I (alone) juz moved in here for less than a month, live at 河东District.
rental not so expensive becos it is away from down town (20 mins from Nanjing Street by taxi).

I rented a unit at hotel apartment (less room services) for less than Rmb 2,000 a month fully furnish.

Food in Chinese restaurants is resonable, I only ate at the restaurant cos I don't trust their some shop food outlets.

The rest I don't know cos I am living alone here.
