OSU-PAssion Card Membership and OS Portal Membership Terms & Conditions

 

  1. Terms of Membership

    Only a Singapore Citizen holding a valid NRIC above the age of 18 may apply for OSU-PAssion card Membership ("Membership"). The Overseas Singaporean Unit, Prime Minister’s Office, Singapore ("OSU") retains the sole discretion on granting Memberships.

    Successful Membership applicants will receive the Membership card via mail. Each member is entitled to one card. Membership is non-transferable.

    Membership is valid for an initial term of five years. Thereafter, members can apply to renew their Memberships by reaffirming their existing/updating their personal data with OSU.

    Membership may be terminated at the sole discretion of the OSU at any time, including where: (a) members are found to be in breach of these terms and conditions, (b) members are found to have abused Membership privileges, or (c) for any reason which OSU considers to be in the interest of the OSU-PAssion card programme as a whole.

    Upon termination of Membership, a member shall return the Membership card to OSU within 2 weeks from the effective date of Membership termination/destroy the Membership card immediately.

    Members should report stolen/damaged Membership cards immediately to webmaster@overseassingaporean.sg. OSU retains the sole discretion on replacement of lost/damaged Membership cards. A replacement fee of S$8 may be imposed.

    These terms and conditions should be read in conjunction with, where applicable, the terms and conditions for PAssion ezEZ-link Card membership (the "Other Terms and Conditions"). Please refer to www.passioncard.com.sg for details on the Other Terms and Conditions. In the event of any conflict, these terms and conditions shall prevail over the Other Terms and Conditions.

    All successful Membership applicants will be granted an account with the OS Portal. Use of the OS Portal Web Site, being www.overseassingaporean.sg (the "Web Site"), is subject to the Terms of Use of the Web Site ("Terms of Use"). Please refer to www.overseassingaporean.sg/general/term-of-use for detailed Terms of Use.
  2. Registration

    All Membership and OS Portal account membership forms which are incomplete or inaccurate will be rejected.
  3. OSU-PAssion card merchants

    OSU and People's Association will not be responsible for the quality of goods or services provided by OSU-PAssion card merchants, or the breach of any representations made by them. OSU and People's Association will not be responsible for any losses or injuries suffered during (or as a result of) the use of facilities provided by the OSU-PAssion card merchants. Members shall not hold OSU and People's Association liable for any disputes or claims which they may have against any OSU-PAssion card merchants.
  4. Privacy Policy

    OSU may release members' particulars to the People's Association for the due administration of the OSU-PAssion card programme, and the members shall be deemed to have consented to the disclosure of their particulars to the People's Association. Apart from that, the information submitted in this application and membership data is governed by the privacy statement of the Singapore Government.   5. Change of Terms and Conditions

    OSU may amend these terms and conditions relating to the Membership and OS Portal account membership at any time. All such amendments shall bind all members within 30 days of any amendments being posted online. It will be the responsibility of every member to check online for amendments to these terms and conditions periodically. Members may terminate their Membership and/or OS Portal account membership at any time by giving notice to OSU.
  6. Rights of third parties

    Anyone who is not a party to this agreement between OSU and the member has no right under the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Act (Cap. 53B) to enforce any term of this agreement.
  7. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

    This agreement shall be subject to, governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Singapore for every purpose and parties agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Singapore courts.
