Long-Term Visit Pass Application
If your spouse or children (under the age of 21), who have a foreign citizenship, are relocating back to Singapore with you, they can apply for the Long-Term Visit Pass (LTVP) online via the Immigration and Checkpoint Authority's (ICA) Electonic Visit Pass System (e-VP).
Long-Term Visit Pass - Plus (LTVP+)
The Long-Term Visit Pass - Plus (LTVP+) was introduced in April 2012 to provide foreign spouses of Singapore Citizens with greater certainty of stay here, as the LTVP+ grants the holder a longer period of residency i.e. three years in the first instance and up to five years for subsequent renewals. LTVP+ holders are also eligible for healthcare and employment benefits.
There is no separate application for LTVP+. Foreign spouses of Singaporeans who submit applications for LTVP would automatically be considered for LTVP+ if they are eligible. For more information on the LTVP+ scheme, check out the FAQs on the ICA website
Permanent Residency Applications
If your spouse is not a Singapore citizen or a Singapore Permanent Resident (PR), you can apply for PR status for your spouse while residing overseas, before your actual return to Singapore. You can download the PR application form and submit the completed application form together with all the required documents to ICA, through any Singapore overseas mission. If the PR application is approved, do note that your spouse will need to be present in Singapore to complete the necessary formalities (e.g. verification of documents).
For citizenship applications, your non-citizen spouse will need to have a minimum 2-year residence as a PR in Singapore. You will also need to be married for at least 2 years before the date of citizenship application. More information on the eligibility and process for citizenship application for your non-citizen spouse can be found here.
Registration of Singapore Citizenship for your Child
If your child is not a Singapore citizen, you can apply for his/her citizenship through the Singapore Citizenship by Descent Scheme via ICA's e-SC.
